PBD Ultralight - Pocket Skins

Hi all,

So... as I browse the immense array of Ultralight Backpacks on the internet, I am constantly questioning, "what makes a PBD Pack different than any other maker's pack".

One main concept tends to come to mind...… Functional features.

Now, our packs have molle PALS webbing, interchangeable belts, inner pack 1x6 attachment bar, compatible external H frames, but most of all, our packs have "Pocket Skins".

Pocket Skins, formerly known as Mini Meshes, are so simple in design but so powerful in application. What are they?

They are just a mesh pocket attached to the outside of each side water bottle pockets on your PBD Pack. You can stuff tons of things in them and best of all the pockets were designed in such a way that you can grab these items without the need to take your pack off.

All our packs have them and they are super awesome.

Here is a photo of Pocket Skins on a ECOPAK EPX200 Teal and Grey 34L SOOLITE pack that we just made at the shop last week.

The Pockets Skins shown here are what we call the "full-size SOOLITE" version. They cover pretty much the entire water bottle pocket.

Here is a photo of a 60L TRAILPACK, also made in ECOPAK.
Notice here the Pocket Skins are 1/2 size. This version comes standard on any of the TRAILPACK 27, 40 or 60L packs.
.
If we are making you a custom pack, of course, you can choose the option of the full-size or 1/2 size Pocket Skins on your SOOLITE or TRAILPACK.

Here are some photos of my TRAILPACK27 with full-size SOOLITE Pocket Skins. This is my day hiker pack and as you can see, I tend to overload it with stuff. :)
I usually do a lot of my local trail day hikes with Scout of the Mountain Dog, so I need a little extra room for his water, treats, baggies and water bowl. The Pocket Skins come in super handy for those type of items. Scout has the left side pocket and I have the right. :)

Let us know if you have any questions.
